Fees & Payment Options
At Speech & Sound Connection, we believe that exceptional care should be personalized, transparent, and focused on your individual needs—not limited by insurance restrictions or treatment quotas.
Because we operate primarily as a private-pay practice, our recommendations are based solely on what is clinically appropriate for you or your child. This allows us to provide individualized evaluations, one-on-one therapy sessions, flexible scheduling, and treatment plans designed around your goals rather than insurance requirements.
Why Choose Private Pay?
Many of our clients appreciate the advantages of private-pay services, including:
Personalized treatment plans tailored to individual goals
Flexible appointment scheduling, including convenient virtual visits
No referral required for many services
Longer appointment times when clinically appropriate
Greater flexibility in treatment frequency and duration
Care focused on progress—not insurance limitations
Insurance and Reimbursement
Speech & Sound Connection is currently contracted with several insurance plans.
Payment is due at the time of service. Upon request, we are happy to provide a detailed superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Because every insurance plan is different, we encourage you to contact your insurance provider to determine your individual benefits before your appointment.
Health Savings Accounts (HSA) & Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
Many speech-language pathology and audiology services may be eligible for payment through Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). We recommend checking with your plan administrator regarding your specific benefits.
Referral Process
We welcome referrals from physicians, healthcare providers, schools, therapists, and families seeking personalized speech, language, auditory processing, or hearing services.
Getting started is easy. Simply call, text, email, or submit a referral form with basic information about the individual and their needs. Once your referral is received, we'll personally follow up to gather any additional information, answer questions, and discuss the most appropriate next steps.
We believe the best outcomes come from collaboration. When appropriate, we work closely with physicians, educators, therapists, and families to promote continuity of care and support each individual's communication goals. Our goal is to make the referral process straightforward, responsive, and supportive from the very first conversation.
